The Camas Police Department on Wednesday said there have been recent sightings of a black bear near Lacamas Lake.

The bear was most recently spotted Wednesday morning by a resident from their yard near the lake, according to a post on the police department’s Facebook page.

Police said the bear has not been aggressive in any way.

The Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife is aware of the situation and working to locate the bear.

Anyone with information about the bear should email the agency at wildcomm@dfw.wa.gov.
