A driver was killed Saturday when his car hit a tree while driving on Northeast Lewisville Highway north of Battle Ground, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Kristopher W. Peterman, 29, of Amboy died when his car left the road while traveling north on state Highway 503 near Milepost 11.9. The patrol said the 2008 Chevrolet Impala that Peterman was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.
Peterman died at the scene. He was the only occupant of the vehicle. The crash occurred at 7:26 a.m. Saturday. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
