BATTLE GROUND — The Battle Ground Police Department delivered Thanksgiving meals to 13 families, with help from Playmakers Sports Bar & Grill, US Foods, Walmart, Utopia Salon, Castle Farms and Lori Lindberg.
Police employees, business owners, Battle Ground Mayor Troy McCoy and City Manager Kris Swanson worked together to assemble 60 individual meals.
On Nov. 26 and 27, Battle Ground police officers delivered the precooked meals in between taking calls for service.
“Our officers and community partners showed just how much can be accomplished when we come together to support one another,” Battle Ground Police Chief Dennis Flynn said. “These meals represent more than just food. They reflect our shared commitment to caring for our neighbors and our agency’s commitment to working in partnership with the community.”
