Fashion and feasting

Join the Kwanzaa celebration from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield. The holiday bazaar opens at 9 a.m. See a fashion show from noon to 2 p.m. Those who wear African attire will get free raffle tickets. Admission is free but tickets are required for the Karamu, a feast of traditional African American food. Tickets range from $9.99 for ages 4 to 12 to a Karamu-VIP package at $39.99. Sounds of the season

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra presents its Holiday Pops concert from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Skyview Concert Hall, 1300 N.W. 139th St., Vancouver. Maestro Farkhad Khudyev is the guest conductor. The program includes holiday tunes, an overture by Suppé and a suite from Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” with dancers from Columbia Dance. David Shifrin will join the orchestra for works by Eldar Hudiyev, John Williams and Michele Mangani’s blues from “An American in Paris.” Get tickets ($42-$55) at vancouversymphony.org.

Farm festivities

The Plas Newydd Farm Arts Initiative will host a drop-in open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Columbia Lancaster House on Plas Newydd Farm, 33415 N.W. Lancaster Road, Ridgefield. Attendees will enjoy warm drinks, snacks, and hands-on arts and crafts activities, including wreath-making, origami, writing and book arts. In the frosty air

Starbird Theatre presents “Christmas Is in the Airways,” a trio of Christmas plays at 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday at Washington Grange No. 82, 7701 N.E. Ward Road, Vancouver. “A Radio Christmas Carol” is an adaptation of the Dickens classic. The comedy “Sherlock Holmes: The Night Before Christmas” follows Holmes and Watson as they solve a Christmas caper. “Henny’s Christmas Mackerel” follows Henny and Frank, who plan to steal a valuable relic during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. Tickets are $20 at starbirdtheatre.com.

Old-fashioned Christmas

The National Park Service at Fort Vancouver will host a Heritage Holiday living history event inside the reconstructed fort from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Attendees will enjoy storytellers and conversations with living history volunteers as well as hands-on crafts and activities. The cost is $10 for adults. Kids 15 and younger are free.
