Former Clark Public Utilities substation and headquarters built in 2019 may be in path of new span

The historic Bridge Sub substation has a new owner: Vancouver developer Hurley Development. The building’s destiny, however, isn’t certain.

Clark Public Utilities listed its century-old substation building for sale earlier this year after the utility declared it surplus.

The property, about a quarter-acre split between three parcels, sits immediately east of the Interstate 5 Bridge and just south of the BNSF Railway berm.
