A man was killed in a suspected hit-and-run Monday afternoon in central Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Police responded about 1:10 p.m. to the 2100 block of Northeast Andresen Road to check on a man under a tree. Officers found a man who appeared to have been killed, possibly from a vehicle that hit him while he was sitting there, a news release states.

Officers found the suspect vehicle nearby, unoccupied. Video footage obtained by officers showed a white woman with distinctive clothing leaving the scene, according to the police department.

A police K-9 found a woman matching the description nearby. The suspect, identified by police as Luella F. Roberson, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of vehicular homicide and an outstanding Washington State Department of Corrections warrant. The victim has not yet been identified.

Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes team and Vancouver Police Traffic Unit are investigating. There was no further information available.
