Share’s Summer Meal Program moves into apartment complexes to feed more Clark County children

Effort offers free breakfasts, lunches to thousands of youth 18 and younger at schools, community centers and apartment complexes across the county

Nine-year-old Otis Chase was excited to reread one of his favorite books, Pablo Cartaya’s “The Last Beekeeper.” But he needed to wolf down his lunch first.

On Tuesday, Otis retrieved the novel with his mother, Lisa, and two of his brothers from the Cascade Park Community Library in east Vancouver.
