Letter: Support Ridgefield school bonds

By Elizabeth Madrigal, Ridgefield
Published: March 30, 2024, 6:00am

Education is the true equalizer and the foundation for a good life. A school bond is the only tax most of us can vote for or against, which makes it tempting to vote no when we’re unhappy with an escalating cost of living or on a fixed income. Every child in Ridgefield depends upon the greater community to provide that opportunity. A desperately needed school bond is not the place to battle our politics or take a stand. A quality public education is a sacred promise each generation makes to the next. Be a good ancestor and please vote yes.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
