Northwest’s supply of sunlight is SAD in winter, ushering in depression for many

Light, exercise, food, friends help brighten dark days of the season and fight back on seasonal affective disorder

Hello darkness, my old friend. Daylight saving time shall end.

Don’t forget to turn back your clock back one hour before hitting the hay tonight. Daylight saving time is officially over at 2 a.m. Sunday. After that, sunrise and sunset both come an hour earlier.

While you may relish that extra hour of Sunday morning snooze, this abrupt clock shift still marks the start of an unhappy season for many people.
