Letter: County officials go out of bounds

The population of Spokane County is 551,000. The city of Spokane owns four golf courses. Spokane County owns three golf courses.

The population of Clark County is 521,000. The city of Vancouver has zero golf courses and Clark County is about to sell the one golf course they own for $3.6 million.

In August 2022, Clark County spent $2,571,134 to purchase 118 acres of the Cedars on Salmon Creek golf course in Brush Prairie and turn it into a park.

If this plan goes forward, be sure to write down a quadruple bogey on the Clark County scorecard as they drove way out of bounds with this decision.
