WorkSource to host Vancouver hiring event

Dress for job interview, bring copies of resume, be prepared to meet and interview with hiring managers

WorkSource is gathering more than a dozen companies 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday for a free hiring event at its east Vancouver office, 204 S.E. Stonemill Drive, Suite 205.

Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. for veterans.

Addus HomeCare, Boilermakers Local 242, Consumer Direct Care Network, Department of Social and Health Services Division of Child Support, Goodwill, JH Kelly, Korean Women’s Association, McGee Air Services, Multnomah County, Ore., Sheriff’s Office, Phoenix Protective Corp., Spectrum, Tradesmen Electric and the U.S. Postal Service are among the companies that will be in attendance.

Companies are looking to hire people for jobs like apprentice boilermakers, customer service representatives, home care aids and HVAC technicians, among others.

WorkSource said candidates should dress for a job interview, bring copies of their resume, and be prepared to meet and interview with hiring managers.
