Teaghan Irvin of Mountain View is the Week 5 Prep Athlete of the Week

Teaghan Irvin of Mountain View girls soccer is the The Columbian 2024 Week 5 high school athlete of the week sponsored by Killer Burger.

Irvin received 321 of 869 votes to win the honor. The junior had six goals and two assists in two matches for the Thunder.

Nominees are selected by The Columbian staff after a review of the previous week’s results. Suggestions for nominees can by made by anyone, but must be received by 6 p.m. Monday for consideration.

Winners of the player-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.

Nominees are posted and voting begins each Tuesday and runs through Thursday.

Here are what the other Week 5 nominees accomplished:

CALLIE CURRAN, RIDGEFIELD VOLLEYBALL: The senior had 97 assists, nine kills, nine digs and four blocks in two league matches for the Spudders.

AVERY MACKIN, KELSO SLOWPITCH SOFTBALL: The sophomore went 12 for 13 with four doubles, one home run and 10 RBI in four games for the Hilanders.

ELIISA MARSHALL, CAMAS GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: The senior placed eighth overall (17:56) in the elite race at the Nike Hole-In-The-Wall Invitational at Marysville.

LORD KING NANA-BADU-WEAH, BATTLE GROUND BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: The sophomore placed first overall (15:41) at the Fall Classic Invitational at Pacific Lutheran.
