Trump behavior not acceptable

By Sally Sellers, VANCOUVER

It is reassuring that as children return to school, teachers are reminding students that name-calling, bullying, lying and general discourtesy are not allowed in the classroom. Unfortunately, this message has not reached Donald Trump and JD Vance.

How can these two possibly lead our great nation, let alone interact with world leaders with whom they might disagree, given their pattern of immature insults against others? Do we really want to elect someone who shows the emotional maturity of a petulant 8-year-old? Think about it. This is not the behavior we need for the leader of the United States.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
