Prep highlights: Bailey Espana leads La Center volleyball over Columbia-White Salmon

Bailey Espana had 14 assists and eight kills as the La Center volleyball team remained unbeaten in the Trico League with a 3-0 win over Columbia-White Salmon

The Wildcats won 25-7, 25-8, 25-14.

Quinn Erickson added 14 assists, 11 digs and three aces for the Wildcats, and Paige Sherry added seven kills, seven digs and two aces.

Potter leads River golf

Luke Potter shot a 1-under-par 33 at Fairway Village to lead the Columbia River boys golf team to 148-169 win over Hockinson.

Ethan Wall of Hockinson was the medalist with a 2-under 32. Owen Winn of Columbia River shot an even-par 34.

Stars of the day

Callie Curran, Ridgefield volleyball, had 15 assists and six digs in a win over Mark Morris.

Sydney Dreves, Columbia River volleyball, had 21 kills and 13 digs in a win over Woodland.

Kendall Mairs, Camas volleyball, had 31 assists, nine digs and three kills in a win over Kelso.

Gracie Jacoby, Prairie volleyball, had 19 assists, nine digs, 9 aces and five kills in a win over Battle Ground.

McKenzie Hallenbeck, Skyview volleyball, had 24 assists, eight digs and four aces in win over Heritage.

Marlee Buffham, Ridgefield girls soccer, had two goals and one assist in a 6-1 win over Washougal.

Makayla Hundt, Columbia River girls soccer, had three goals in a 7-0 win over Hudson’s Bay.

Bridgette Hollifield, Kalama girls soccer, had four goals and two assists in an 8-1 win over Stevenson.

Trenton Maddox, Washougal boys golf, shot an even-par 36 at Lewis River to lead the Panthers over Woodland.
