Nash Neumann’s two-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth gave the Washougal Panthers a 1-0 walk-off victory over Elma in Thursday’s non-league baseball game.

Kadin Gibbons’ lead-off double in the ninth, followed by a hit batter and a walk, loaded the bases for Neumann, the Panthers’ No. 2 hitter. His line-drive single to left field off a 1-2 count scored Gibbons from third for the game’s loan run.

Both teams entered extra innings scoreless behind a pitcher’s duel from Elma’s Brody Palmer (11 strikeouts, one hit allowed) and Washougal’s Tyler Thompson (five strikeouts, one hit allowed) and three innings of scoreless relief from Cole Gustafson of Elma and Washougal’s Rowyn Brody.
