The spring wild turkey season begins on Tuesday, April 15, the winter flocks are already breaking up, and the toms are gobbling and squabbling over the hens.

If the weather cooperates, hunters could be looking at a good season.

The best turkey hunting in Region 5 is in Klickitat County, and the center of the action is the Klickitat River Canyon, although birds can be found from the Wind River area all the way to Goldendale.
