Southwest Washington senior citizens can apply for $80 benefit cards to use at farmers markets, farm stores

The Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities of Southwest Washington is offering eligible seniors a limited number of $80 benefit cards to use at participating farmers markets and farm stores for fresh produce, herbs and honey. The benefit is available from June 1 to Oct. 31.

Benefit cards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. To qualify for the program, seniors must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a resident of Clark, Cowlitz, Wahkiakum, Klickitat, or Skamania counties.
  • Be 60 years of age or older (or 55 and older for Native American or Alaska Native individuals).
  • Have an income at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level, which for 2025 is $28,953 annually for a single-person household or $39,128 annually for a two-person household.
