A man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash early this morning in Vancouver’s Uptown Village.

According to Vancouver police, officers responded about 2:40 a.m. to a crash in the 1700 block of Main Street, south of McLoughlin Boulevard, and found the driver lying in the road about 15 feet from his pickup truck.

The driver, whose identity has not been released, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Vancouver police said on Facebook that impairment was not believed to be a factor, blaming speed for the crash.

The façade of Irrelevant Beer, 1703 Main St. Unit B, was damaged in the crash. Other businesses were reportedly damaged as well.

There were no other reports of injuries.

The agency’s traffic unit is investigating.
