Will Foster of Prairie went big in the shot put, Revac Banfield of Columbia River swept the boys sprints and Leilani Mays of Union won three events on Friday night at the John Ingram Twilight track and field meet at Columbia River High School.
Foster cleared 63 feet twice in the shot put to win the event with mark of 63 feet, 6 inches. The senior also won the discus at 189-0.
Banfield went sub-11 in the 100 meters to win 10.99 seconds, and he also won the 200 in 22.15 seconds.
Other winners in the boys meet included Elijah Brooks of Union (400, 50.55), Joseph Ianello of Columbia River (800, 1:59.02), Trae Copper of Battle Ground (1,600, 4:25.38), Ian Guasco of Hockinson (3,200, 9:45.29), Luke Livengood of Washougal (javelin, 162-6), Nicolas Ricardo of River (pole vault, 13-6) and Evergreen got wins from Ryder Keplar (high jump, 6-4), Josiah Alanis (long jump, 23-8) and James Bethune (triple jump, 44-8.5.

All-Region Sports Awards Ceremony
The Columbian will be hosting its second annual All-Region Sports Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at The Hilton Vancouver Washington.
The event will be 6-8 p.m. Admission is $15 and includes food and drink.

Columbia River won the team title, beating out Union 129-106.
Mays led Union to the girls team title by winning the 100 meters (12.25 seconds), 200 meters (25.45) and 100-meter hurdles (14.68).
Ella Koch also won two events for Union, taking the 800 (2:19.59) and 1,600 (5:18.04). E. Brookes of Union tied for first in the long jump with Hailey Luff of Battle Ground at 32-2.5.
Other winners in the girls meet included Lyla Taylor of Hockinson (3,200, 11:35.74), Elsie Herold of Mark Morris (300 hurdles, 45.49), Addyson Bowyer of Ridgefield (high jump, 5-1), Julia Ogbeama of Prairie (long jump, 17-1) and Kelso got wins from Jordyn Robarge (shot put, 38-7), Eleanor Treadway (javelin, 126-7) and Macy Swanson (pole vault, 12-0).
Union outdistanced Columbia River 126-79 for the team title.

Luke Jenisch, Columbia River baseball, allowed one run on three hits over five innings in a 4-1 win over Hudson’s Bay.
Riley Young, R.A. Long baseball, went 3 for 3 with a home run, three RBI and walk in a 12-1 win over Hockinson.
Henry Wikstrom, Ridgefield baseball, allowed two runs over 6.1 innings and went 3 for 4 with a run in a 7-2 win over Washougal.
Payton Blunt, Prairie softball, went 2 for 3 with four runs, a home run, three RBI and two walks in an 18-6 win over La Center.
Taylor Lies, Skyview softball, went 4 for 4 with four runs, a double, two triples and three RBI in a 13-3 win over Heritage.
Makenzie Henthorn, Mark Morris softball, recorded all 15 outs by strikeout, allowing just two hits in a 15-0 five-inning over R.A. Long.
Gracelynn Huffman, Woodland softball, allowed just two earned runs over seven innings and went 2 for 3 with four runs, a double, two RBI and walks in a 15-4 win over Hockinson.
Ruby Lew, Columbia River softball, went 2 for 4 with two doubles and four RBI in a 14-2 win over Washougal.
Gracie Olmos, Ridgefield softball, struck out six over four perfect innings in a 15-0 win over Hudson’s Bay that ended after four innings.
Rebecca Townsend, Stevenson softball, went 3 for 5 with three runs, a double, home run and five RBI in a 24-5 win over Corbett (Ore.).
