Dalton Woods drove home Ryker Ruelas with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11th innings, lifting Seton Catholic to a 5-4 non-league win over Prairie on Saturday at Mountain View High School.
The Cougars rallied from a 4-0 deficit in the fourth inning by scoring twice in the fifth, once in the sixth and once in the seventh to force extra innings.
In the seventh, Woods opened with a single, stole second and took third on a balk.
After Jack Williams drew a one-out walk, Woods scored on Lucas Peterson’s groundout to short to tie the game.
Thomas Clute threw five scoreless innings of relief, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out six to keep Prairie quiet in extra innings.
In the bottom of the 11th, Ruelas led off with a single, stole second and took third on a wild pitch. Woods’ fly ball to center scored Ruelas with the winning run.
Fuller tosses no-hitter for La Center
Justin Fuller threw a no-hitter, helping La Center’s first-inning run to stand up in a 1-0 non-league win over Overlake/Bear Creek in Seattle.
Houston Coyle singled with one out in the first, followed by a double by Fuller. Coyle came home on an error for the game’s lone run.
Fuller struck out six and walked just one for the Wildcats.
