I’m horrified to watch this administration begin to roll out the plans for education from Project 2025, especially:
- The elimination of Head Start preschool for 800,000 children;
- The elimination of Title I funding to districts with low-income children;
- The diversion of public education funds to religious and private schools;
- The end of student debt relief, sending loan applicants into the general loan market;
- The end of teachers’ ability to unionize;
- Dictation to schools of what may be said about diversity, equity, inclusion, race, history and LGBTQ+ topics.
