Letter: You’re paying for Trump destruction

By Gale D. Beagle, Vancouver
Published: April 23, 2025, 6:00am

When Hillary Clinton ran for president, she told you what Donald Trump was like, Trump told you what he was like and all you cared about was her nonexistent emails. Then, eight years later, Vice President Kamala Harris told you what Trump was like, Trump told you once again what he was like and you believed him.

Everything he said he would do for us was once again a lie. Now he’s destroying our government as fast as he can and you’re paying for it. Everything is going to be expensive now. I hope voters start paying attention and we make it to midterms.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
