‘Essential components of our mission’: Many large employers in Clark County remain committed to DEI

They are unmoved by pressure from federal government to scrap programs

Despite federal pressure, many of Clark County’s largest employers remain committed to diversity, equity and inclusion principles.

The Vancouver Clinic, which employs about 2,300 people locally, is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable and diverse environment for staff and patients, Chief Human Resources Officer Robert Martin said.

“For us, DEI has never been about preferences or quotas, which have always been unlawful,” Martin said.
