Rush Reimer, a member of the 2019 Camas football state championship team, signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on Sunday.
Reimer started 11 games at offensive guard last season for Cal. The 305-pound senior transferred to Berkeley after three seasons at Montana State, where he started 30 games over three seasons and first-team All-Big Sky in 2023.
At Camas, Reimer was a first-team all-state selection as a senior, when the Papermakers went 14-0 to win the program’s second Class 4A state championship.
A handful of players from Clark County have earned chances to make NFL rosters in recent years as undrafted free agents.
Jack Colletto, who led Camas to its first state title in 2016, was signed by the San Francisco 49ers after the 2023 NFL Draft. The 2022 Paul Hornung Award winner at Oregon State spent part of last season on the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad.
Lincoln Victor, who quarterbacked Union to the Class 4A state title in 2018, was signed by the Denver Broncos after last year’s NFL Draft. The owner of the Washington State University single-game receptions record is currently with the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League.
In 2015, Skyview graduate Austin Dodge signed with the Atlanta Falcons after setting the NAIA career passing record and leading Southern Oregon to a national title.
