Hayden Tilton is back coaching in the Trico League.
Tilton, a former coach at Castle Rock, has been hired as the new varsity boys basketball coach at Seton Catholic, the school announced Monday.
Tilton replaces Donald Wilson, who stepped down in March after leading the Cougars to back-to-back Trico League titles.
Tilton is a Mark Morris High graduate who played college basketball at Lower Columbia College.
He coached at Castle Rock from 2018 to 2022, leading the Rockets to the 1A District 4 championship in 2022 and sixth place at the 1A state tournament.

Tilton stepped down at Castle Rock after the 2022 season and has spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Mark Morris.
“I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to coach at Seton Catholic,” Tilton said. “Drawing on experience from being a district champion as a head coach, an assistant coach, and being fortunate to bring home state trophies, this gives me the confidence to succeed at Seton Catholic. I am most looking forward to being able to mentor young men in their faith journey on and off the court.”
