Vancouver’s Vintage Books celebrates a storied half-century amid evolving industry

Used bookstore in central Vancouver is a staple for readers from all over Clark County

Vintage Books will celebrate its 50th anniversary this month but Becky Milner, the owner of the Vancouver bookstore, said she never intended to sell books.

“We kind of evolved over the years. We’re still evolving,” Milner, 82, said. “Bookselling is changing, and so we’re changing.”

Milner started selling mail-order needlepoint kits of vintage cars in the early 1970s.
