Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife Commission decried for being ‘anti-hunting’

Report echoes local hunters’ concerns following some recent decisions

According to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife website, the purpose of the WDFW Commission is to establish “policies to preserve, protect and perpetuate fish, wildlife and ecosystems while providing fish and wildlife recreational and commercial opportunities compatible with healthy and diverse fish and wildlife populations.”

But the commission has recently come under scrutiny for an alleged anti-hunter mentality after several decisions, including the axing of the state’s spring bear hunt.
