Boys swimming: Camas dominates team standings, Owen Robertson wins two events at SW Washington Invitational

Rafa Lavagnino won the 200 individual medley and Camas won the 200 medley and 400 free relays to swim away with the team title at the Southwest Washington Invitational boys swimming meet Saturday at Mark Morris High School in Longview.

The Papermakers had multiple placers in five events to tally 660 points, easily outdistancing runner-up Union (343) for the team title. Skyview was third with 278 points.

Lavagnino raced to a three-second win, taking the 200 individual medley in 2 minutes, 16.24 seconds. Camas won the 200 medley relay in 1:47.59 behind Aarnav Krishna, Tenzin Kelsang, James Crawford and Alan Xie.

Camas won the 400 free relay in 3:34.61 with Lavagnino, Steven Kim, Owen Yam and Atali’i Seumalo.

Owen Robertson of Union was the lone multi-event winner. The senior won the 200 freestyle in 1:51.10 and the 500 freestyle in 5:06.61.

Other local winners included Colin Graeme of Seton Catholic in the 50 freestyle (23.16), Cullen Kahler of Union in the 100 freestyle (50.92), Vladyslav Danylyuk of Prairie in the 100 backstroke (55.86) and Union in the 200 free relay (1:33.40) with Kahler, Robertson, Reid Shepard and Jackson Webb.
