A bystander pulled a driver out of a burning vehicle on Interstate 205 early Sunday morning, according to the Vancouver Fire Department.
About 3 a.m., fire crews were called to a single-vehicle crash on the freeway near Padden Parkway, according to a statement. A 911 caller reported the driver of the vehicle was pinned inside and the vehicle was on fire.
The caller cut the driver’s seat belt and pulled them from the car.
The Washington State Patrol arrived and placed a tourniquet on the driver’s injury, according to the statement.
When Vancouver fire crews arrived, the fire had spread to the entire vehicle and the driver outside the vehicle on the ground.
