Letter: Support students’ needs

As a special education teacher, I witness daily how crucial the replacement levy is for students with unique needs. This funding directly supports specialized services, including additional staff, classroom resources and adaptive technologies, which are vital for students with disabilities to succeed. The levy helps maintain Individualized Education Plans, speech and language services, and behavioral support, ensuring these students receive the attention they need. Without it, we risk cutting essential services, leaving our most vulnerable students without the support they depend on.

This replacement levy is not a new tax, but a renewal of our community’s commitment to providing quality education to all students. Supporting the levy ensures that every child, regardless of their challenges, has the resources they need to thrive. Please join me in voting “yes” on the replacement levy to continue supporting our students with special needs.
