Letter: Support local schools

Well-funded schools ensure access to quality teachers, modern resources and safe facilities, which drive better educational outcomes and prepare students for future success.

Communities with strong schools often attract families and businesses, boosting local economies. Additionally, equitable funding helps close achievement gaps by providing support for underprivileged students, including free meals, mental health services and extracurricular activities. Schools also act as community hubs, offering resources that promote civic engagement and social cohesion.

Research consistently shows that investment in education reduces crime rates, increases property values and fosters long-term economic stability. Ultimately, well-funded schools not only empower students but also enhance the overall health, safety and prosperity of the community.
