Letter: Perez should plan better

I attempted to attend the town hall in Salmon Creek hosted by our congresswoman. Unfortunately, for reasons no one on her staff seemed to know, the venue reserved was much too small. Did they honestly believe she would attract a small crowd? Someone really messed up.

The event was to begin at 5 p.m., but doors were closed by 4:45 due to having reached capacity. I am willing to estimate that there were more people outside unable to attend than there were people inside attending. I won’t know what questions were asked of her, nor will I know her answers.

I hope that in the future when Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez holds a town hall in Clark County, her staff reserves a considerably larger venue so that all of us who want to engage in the conversation can.
