It was Vancouver title day Saturday at the high school state girls bowling championships in Tukwila.

Skyview and Hudson’s Bay both claimed team titles with dominating showings in the baker games Saturday.

Skyview earned its first Class 4A team title since 2022, easily outdistancing runner-up Kamiakin 7,708 to 7,433.

Baker games involve all five members of a team bowling two frames each, allowing the team score to be built off shots by each team member.

Skyview posted five of its 14 baker games of 203 or better with a best game of 225.

Skyview’s team included Brianna Hust, Kaydree Rowland, Addysen Case, Avery Henderson and Abby Pine.

Hudson’s Bay captured its first state team title in girls bowling by outdistancing league rival R.A. Long 7,571 to 7,167.

Bay bowled two games of 211 or better, finishing with a 227 in the final baker game.

It was the seventh consecutive 2A/1A state tournament in which the top two team placings were filled by District 4 teams. This season marked Hudson’s Bay first team appearance at state since placing fifth in the 3A/2A state tournament in 2016.

The Hudson’s Bay team includes Sanaa Tyler, MJ Westmorland, Abby Schoonover, Siddalee Huff and Charly St. Mars.
