Letter: Fix pay equity in schools

By James Lindner, Vancouver
Published: February 10, 2025, 6:00am

Just got the Vancouver Public Schools pamphlet explaining what the latest election levy is for. I agree with all of it, but I’m voting against it. I won’t be voting for any school levy until they fix the pay inequity. VPS and Evergreen’s superintendent both rake in over $300,000 a year, while the teachers receive between $60,000 and $90,000 a year for a job that is much more important.
