Vancouver Public Schools allows students and staff to carry Narcan and other overdose reversal medications

Students and staff at Vancouver schools can now carry naloxone and other life-saving overdose reversal medications.

On Tuesday, the Vancouver Public Schools board approved an updated districtwide policy to allow staff and students to carry opioid reversal medications obtained over the counter. The district aims to have at least one set of opioid reversal medication in each school, either through a standing order or donations, according to the policy.
