Time to get out and about to catch winter trout

Several local lakes and ponds have been well stocked

It is the peak season for winter trout fishing in Washington’s Region 5, and local lakes have been well stocked with catchable rainbow trout.

There have also been plantings of jumbo trout as well as trophy-sized rainbow brood trout and steelhead.

The WDFW webpage describes the term “catchable” as being at least 3.0
