‘The war is not over’: Demonstrators continue Saturday ritual of meeting on I-205 Bridge to show support for Ukraine

Participants also want to express gratitude to U.S. for helping country fight Russian invasion

After Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, hundreds of residents from Clark County and the Portland metro area gathered on the Interstate 205 Bridge to wave flags and signs. They promised to keep doing so every Saturday until the last Russian soldier left Ukraine.

Three years later, the war in Ukraine continues, and so do the demonstrators.
