Bustling downtown Vancouver still hasn’t returned to prepandemic visitor levels

Businesses that cater to downtown employees are still feeling the pinch

Visits to downtown Vancouver have yet to surpass prepandemic 2019 numbers, according to visitor tracking data collected for the local tourism office.

Downtown may look busy, especially on sunny weekend days when the Vancouver Farmers Market is open, but the numbers tell a different story. Visit Vancouver Washington’s data largely tracks mobile devices that move in and out of outlined areas within Clark County.
