State swimming: Vladyslav Danylyuk of Prairie takes fifth in the 100 backstroke at 3A state meet

Colin Graeme of Seton Catholic, Lincoln Swift of Ridgefield both earn sixth-place finishes in 2A/1A meet

FEDERAL WAY — Prairie’s Vladyslav Danylyuk was the top local placer at the 3A boys swimming state meet, taking fifth place in the 100-yard backstroke Saturday at the King County Aquatic Center.

The senior was unable to improve off his preliminary time, placing fifth in 52.84 seconds.

Danylyuk also placed eighth in the 100 freestyle in 47.94 seconds.

In the 2A/1A meet, Seton Catholic’s Colin Graeme took sixth place in the 50 freestyle in 22.68 seconds. The senior also was eighth in the 100 butterfly (55.94 seconds).

Lincoln Swift of Ridgefield was sixth in the 500 freestyle (5:02.49), and Anakin Isenhart of Mark Morris was seventh in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.15.).

The Hockinson 200 medley relay team of Nick Stanley, Adam Wendler, Ryder Hough, Dilan Andersen took eighth in 1 minute, 49.20 seconds.

Clark County only had one participant in Saturday’s championship finals in the 4A state meet. Camas’ Tenzin Kelsang placed eighth in the 100 breaststroke in 58.60 seconds.
