As we lurch boldly into another year, a reader suggested that I try something “cleansing” to assist in divesting ourselves of the old so that we can be open to the new. Perhaps that’s an allusion to digestion. In that case, I’ll take it both metaphorically and literally and offer you a dish with a lot of fiber.
