Vancouver Public Schools superintendent reported alleged teacher sexual misconduct in early December

The report to the State’s Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction was made after two former students came forward

Vancouver Public Schools reported a teacher’s alleged sexual misconduct with two students to the state before the man’s December arrest.

On Dec. 10, Superintendent Jeff Snell sent an email to the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction reporting that Hudson’s Bay High School English teacher Shadbreon Gatson, 43, violated codes of professional conduct, according to documents obtained by The Columbian from the agency under the state’s Public Records Act.
