Letter: No justice here

The Jan. 6, 2021, assault on our nation’s capital was the most shameful political act I’ve seen in my lifetime. The rest of the world must have thought, “My God! The United States, the leader of the world’s democracies, has its national capital attacked by an angry mob? Wow!” President Donald Trump encouraged this to happen, and for five hours he didn’t call off the mob. Special counsel Jack Smith has a report ready for the nation on this horrendous event, but federal Judge Eileen Cannon — a Trump appointee — has ruled that the report cannot be made public at this time.

Cannon is a shill for Trump and should be impeached. She has shamefully ruled several times in the Mar-a-Lago documents case to delay the investigation. Trump now has time to be inaugurated and order his Justice Department to let this all die. American justice? Nope. So sad. This is not the America that I love.
