Malakai Weimer sunk two free throws with 0.6 seconds to play to lift Skyview to a 51-49 win over Union in a 4A Greater St. Helens League boys basketball game at Skyview.
Weimer had a layup with 25 seconds left to tie the game 49-49. The basket was only one of two two-point baskets the Storm made on the night. Skyview hit 13 3-pointers.
After Gavin Packer came up with a steal with 13 seconds, Weimer took the ball to the hoop and was fouled.
Weimer hit both shots, and Union was unable to get off another shot.
Weimer finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds for Skyview (10-4, 2-1). Ryan Hanson tied a school record with nine 3-pointers, going 9 for 12 from 3-point range and scoring 27 points.
Kody Holcomb had 21 points and Pat Howe had 10 points for Union (10-4, 1-2).
CAMAS 76, BATTLE GROUND 27 — Channing Nesland score 16 points to lead four Papermakers in double figures in a 4A Greater St. Helens League win.
Camas (11-3, 3-0) also got 15 from Ethan Harris, 14 from Jace VanVoorhis and 13 from Nyima Namru.
COLUMBIA RIVER 84, WASHOUGAL 47 — Ari Richardson scored 22 points to lead the Rapids in a 2A GSHL win.
Aaron Hoey added 18 points, and Kellen Clary and Javen Fletch each had 12 for River (12-2, 7-1).
Dylan Gibons hit four 3-pointers for 16 points for Washougal (3-9, 2-6).
RIDGEFIELD 71, WOODLAND 27 — Jamison McCann scored 32 points for the Spudders (10-4, 6-2) in a 2A Greater St. Helens League win.
Jackson Gabbard led Woodland with 10 points.
MARK MORRIS 88, HUDSON’S BAY 56 — Dalton Stevens had 21 of his game-high 27 points in the first half as the Monarchs bounced back from loss Wednesday to R.A. Long.
Jadyn Brooks and Carson Bogner had 12 points each, and Drew Ibarreta had 10 for the Monarchs.
“This was a good bounce-back performance for us after a tough loss,” Mark Morris coach Ken Kelly said. “We played with a very clear purpose, and I thought our defensive pressure was the big difference.”
Boston Brawley had 14 points and Kelden Carney had 12 points for Bay.
