Keirra Thompson of Camas girls basketball is the The Columbian 2024-25 Week 13 high school athlete of the week, sponsored by Killer Burger.
Thompson received 388 of the 622 votes cast to win the honor.
The senior scored 40 points in a win over Evergreen, then added another 34 in a win over Union.
Nominees are selected by The Columbian staff after a review of the previous week’s results. Suggestions for nominees can by made by anyone, but must be received by 6 p.m. Sunday for consideration.
Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.
Nominees are posted and voting begins each Monday and runs through Wednesday.

OLIVIA ENGEL, KELSO GIRLS WRESTLING: Engel won five matches, all by pin, to win the 120-pound title at the Braided 64 Tournament in Kelso.
GARRETT LEES, WASHOUGAL BOYS WRESTLING: The junior won all four matches by pin to take the 190-pound title at the Ron Baze Invitational in Hoquiam.
OWEN ROBERTSON, UNION BOYS SWIMMING: The senior won the 500 freestyle (4:58.80) and the 200 freestyle in a state-qualifying time of 1:45.75 in a league meet at Kelso.
KAIDEN WILSON, SETON CATHOLIC BOYS BASKETBALL: The sophomore set a school record with 10 3-pointers in a win over Castle Rock, then scored 18 and and 26 in two more wins.
