Letter: Support Ridgefield school levies

By Michelle Wollert, RIDGEFIELD
Published: January 17, 2025, 6:00am

Ridgefield schools are the heart of our growing community and offer our children so much more than traditional academic opportunities. They are mini community centers where families gather together for music, theater and sports events, where we forge friendships that last a lifetime. For Ridgefield’s families in need, our school resource center distributes food, clothing, school supplies and social service referrals. Our children cannot learn when they lack the basic human necessities to thrive.

Ridgefield voters have an opportunity to support our schools by voting yes on two levy measures on the Feb. 11 ballot. Both will provide critical funding for educational programs, operations, facilities and technology for our children.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
