Letter: License plates required on front

I’ve noticed a troubling trend around Vancouver where people are driving without front license plates. Out of curiosity, I checked, and state law requires that most vehicles must display front and back license plates. So why do some groups of people (and mostly luxury cars) choose not to do so? What sort of resources and strategies will help to improve this?

RCW 46.16A.200 makes it clear that front license plates are required, for safety and accountability, so let’s help remind our neighbors.
