Girls basketball roundup (Jan. 23): Addison Bagley lifts King’s Way Christian to fourth straight win

Behind Addison Bagley’s double-double, King’s Way Christian posted its season-high fourth straight win Thursday, a 53-33 victory over Stevenson in 1A Trico League girls basketball to earn its 10th win of the season. 

Bagley poured in a game-best 21 points and 16 rebounds. Nine of Bagley’s points came as part of the Knights’ 13-point first quarter. 

Bridget Quinn added nine points, nine assists and nine rebounds and Kate Kesler had nine points and eight rebounds. 

Dani Wallace and Aria Obias had 10 points apiece to lead Stevenson. 

COLUMBIA-WHITE SALMON 50, LA CENTER 23 — Halle Kock 27 points helped the Bruins maintain their third-place tie in the 1A Trico League. 

Kock had 12 of Columbia’s 20 second-quarter points as it led 31-10 at halftime. 

Paige Sherry led La Center with 11 points. 

KALAMA 47, FORT VANCOUVER 15 — Aubrey Doerty’s game-high 22 points, six steals, six rebounds and four assists helped the Chinooks earn their 10th win of the season. 

Hannah Johnson added 11 points and five rebounds for the Chinooks, who held a 20-2 halftime lead. Bridgette Hollifield added 12 rebounds and three assists, and Delaney Rinard had five steals and three assists.

Veranika Sivaia led Fort with eight points. 

SETON CATHOLIC 72, CASTLE ROCK 31 — The Cougars got contributions all around in their 1A Trico victory to improve to 10-0 in league play. 

Riley Seymer led all scorers with 24 points, and Madison Lee added 10. Remy Jenniges and Adyson Maddick added eight points apiece. 

Seton led 36-12 at halftime. 

Dakota Davis led Castle Rock with 13 points. 

2A Greater St. Helens League

WOODLAND 62, HOCKINSON 19 — The Beavers maintained their second-place standing in the 2A GSHL with their ninth league win. 

Kennedy Bockert had 17 of her game-high 19 points in the first half and added 11 rebounds The Beavers led 46-13 at halftime. Carley Coltrin and Lainey Haden each had eight points and combined for 11 rebounds and Addi Stading chipped in seven. 

Lyla Taylor led Hockinson with nine points. 

RIDGEFIELD 54, MARK MORRIS 42 — The Spudders snapped their two-game losing skid and remain in a fourth-place tie with Washougal in the 2A GSHL playoff race.

Madison Ingham poured in a game-high 24 points and Nora Martin added 10 for the Spudders (5-11). Ridgefield used a 19-7 third-quarter advantage to lead 48-30 entering the final 8 minutes. 

COLUMBIA RIVER 73, R.A. LONG 33 — The Rapids won their 15th straight game with a convincing home victory over the Lumberjills. 

Gracie Glavin’s game-high 23 points came on 64 percent shooting from the floor. Marley Meyers added 10 for the Rapids, who held R.A. Long to single-digit scoring in three of four quarters. 

Alauna Brown led R.A. Long with 18 points.
