Netflix prices are slated to climb for most customers across the U.S.
Under the new pricing model, the cost of the streamer’s Standard plan without ads will increase by $2.50 — going from $15.49 to $17.99 per month. It marks the first time in three years Netflix has upped the pricing of the Standard tier, which comes with two simultaneous HD streams.
The ad-supported tier, meanwhile, is increasing from $6.99 to $7.99 per month while Netflix’s most premium package — with four simultaneous streams — will jump from $22.99 to $24.99 per month.
What’s more, the cost of adding an extra member to a primary account is due to increase from $7.99 to $8.99 per month.
Netflix announced the price hikes on Tuesday along with its Q4 2024 earnings results.
Last quarter, the streamer raked in 19 million new subscribers, bringing its total to 302 million globally.
