Clark County Fire District 3 has a new fire chief.
Chris Drone, who’s served on the team since 2017, was sworn in as fire chief Jan. 22, according to a news release from the fire district.
Drone succeeds Scott Sorenson, who retired at the end of 2024.
“I look forward to expanding District 3’s capabilities and ensuring we continue to provide high-quality emergency services,” Drone said in the Monday news release.
Drone joined the north county fire district as its first fire marshal. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
