Vancouver police arrested a 46-year-old man Friday suspected of robbing an east Vancouver Bank of America branch in December.

Ryan Frisbie was arrested after a patrol officer noticed a recreational vehicle associated with Frisbie in a gas station parking lot, according to a Monday news release from the police department.

Police responded to a bank robbery Dec. 21 at the Bank of America branch at 1145 S.E. 164th Ave. The department said a man entered the bank, presented a note and implied he had a firearm. He fled the scene and was not located by police, according to the news release.

Investigators with the police department’s major crimes unit obtained a surveillance video photo of the robber and shared it on social media. Using tips from the public, detectives identified Frisbie as the suspect. He is also suspected in at least two other Portland metro area robberies, according to the police department.

The police department said investigators also obtained a photo of an RV associated with Frisbie, which was distributed to patrol officers, along with information on the robberies.

The officer followed the RV after it left the gas station, while confirming it was the vehicle associated with Frisbie, according to the news release. The department said that the officer conducted a high-risk traffic stop near Southeast 160th Avenue before taking Frisbie, the driver, into custody.

He was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of first degree robbery, the department said. The investigation is ongoing.
